The New Bishop of Middleton.

Anglican Wanderings is delighted to announce that the new Bishop of Middleton is to be Fr Mark Davies, who will also be the youngest Bishop in the Church of England at 45. Father Mark is an Anglo-Catholic and has been a very popular Archdeacon. This means that of the four assistant Bishops in Manchester Diocese, two are of traditional Catholic ecclesiology under our Diocesan Bishop Nigel, whom we love. This is good news for the Diocese and good news for the Church in general, showing as well the commitment that the Church has to retain traditional orthodox teaching in its seminaries, its parishes and in its Bishops. Deo Gratias!
