Saint Silas, Kentish Town News.

Thanks to Craig Aburn at Saint Silas, Kentish Town (see link to side) for these pictures from Mass today. Saint Silas have a truly eclectic collection of artwork, united by good taste.
TODAY Fr. Graeme Rowlands dedicated and gave thanks for the new reredos in the North Aisle near the Crib. We are very fortunate to have been given this by Fr. Laurence Mortimer merely for the cost of its removal. It was commissioned by Mrs. Mortimer, his grandmother, who founded the Elmhurst Ballet School in 1923 for their chapel and painted by Nina Somerset who produced so much of the art already in S. Silas, including the pillar banners and the tester above S. Thomas' Altar. Mrs.Mortimer's son, Anthony, posed for the painting of the Holy Child in the central panel. The Prayer of Dedication followed the Procession to the crib at the end of the 11.00am Mass before the Angelus.

Identical information can be found on the massinformation blog, to whose good offices Craig also emailed the pictures!
