The Revd Dr Giles Fraser, late of Oxon, now of Putney, and hardline Liberal (with a very capital L) has, unsuprisingly, thrown his own four-penneth worth into the ring of reactions to the Synod, via the well known theological journal, the New Statesman. It is a piece which, I think, exemplifies why so many ordinary members of the Church of England, of all views, have reacted with such horror to the vote. As with the comments of Dr Schori, caritas is singularly wanting.
