Fifth Sunday in Lent.

Just a few pictures of this mornings High Mass before I have a snooze prior to leading Stations of the Cross. The sun shone and the crowds flocked in. After the Mass we had four Baptisms - all from the same family - which is a first for us, I think. The new altar fall looked good, we thought and standing at the altar with so much darkness around and the sun bouncing off the white altar cloth was a moving experience.

'Ecce Agnus Dei', Canon Denby sang the Mass (and of course the last Asperges in the season), next Sunday we meet down the road for the procession into Church. Time to dust off the ten foot processional palms.

The Sanctus. As is our custom, we do not have acolytes or torches for the last two weeks of Lent, enjoying a purposefully stripped down liturgy.

Canon Denby intones the Preface. Part two of the Dream of the Rood tomorrow.
