The arranging of the structural work to my new house (which you see above) with the Diocese coupled with writing essays on the subversion of the internet for the counter cultural proclamation of the Gospel and the English Missal's impact on the future of the Religious life of the Church of England has kept me out of trouble this week so far. That none of these things are done and more mounts up is a sign that this will be a very busy week. The purchase of clerical shirts and the ordering of ember cards also drains time away as I count the weeks left before my ordination and look at the amount of work to be done and wonder if the two are mutually compatible! God will provide, I keep reminding myself.
As if there was not enough to do, arrangements for the Annual Anglican Wander are apace. A coach or two will leave Manchester at 9am, High Mass will be celebrated at the Shrine of Our Lady of Egmanton at 11.30, Lunch will be available for the pre-booked at 1. There will be time before Mass for the using of the facilities and the looking at the gardens. After Lunch, we will go to Worksop for a look around followed by Benediction in the magnificent Priory Church at 4pm, returning at 5. Everyone is invited, but please let me know if you intend coming, whether by coach with Lunch or under your own steam without.
