This jolly picture shows your three British scribes with Fr John Livesley, Deacon in the Swinton team ministry, who is to be ordained Priest in a few weeks, read all about it, of course, here. Fr Lee made the casual remark that 'oh, I suppose that it will be your turn next year', referring to being Deacon at the Ladyewell pilgrimage, I think not, though, as my ordination will probably not be until a few weeks after the date, but the remark is true in the other sense and makes me realise how little time a year is. I shall miss wearing my light coloured clothes, mind you, I am in half a mind to go down the tweed-and-dog-collar route and take up pipe smoking in earnest again.
