Easter Sunday: Childrens egg hunt.

Fr McEvitt blesses the Easter eggs.

Fr Croft and McEvitt share the eggs with the children.

This morning saw the annual chocolate hunt (for children) in the gardens to the front of St Hilda's Church and the giving out of eggs after Mass by Fr Croft and Cathedral Canon Fr Peter McEvitt. I have posted a few pictures here for you. Fr Croft commented, he would swap his biretta for the young girls Easter bonnet, guess which one? A chocolate egg goes to the first correct answer.....

We would do well to remember, the egg is symbolic of the grave, of Christ's tomb and life that was renewed by the breaking of it. The egg is a symbol of the Resurrection.
