The Parish Church of Saint Hilda Abbess of Whitby in Prestwich, Manchester, is seeking to appoint a new Organist. We would ideally like someone with experience of the Catholic Faith who is willing to play for Sunday High Mass, Monthly Evensong and Benediction as well as occasional festivals and Holy Days and the main services of Holy Week. We have a keen, growing choir. The New English Hymnal is used as well as traditional chants and refrains. We believe ourselves to be a friendly Church, with many social events and excursions. Remuneration is paid at the usual scale. This post will be subject to a three month 'trial period'.
