Mount Calvary Church, Baltimore, Maryland
After planning a more extensive photo coverage of the Annual Mass of the Society of King Charles the Martyr (USA), all I was able to capture was this front shot of the church. It was a splendid mass, though, with the choir singing Haydn's Missa Brevis "St Joannis de Deo". It was also a joy to make this first visit of mine to Mt Calvary. They bill themselves as Maryland's historic Anglo-Catholic Parish, and are one of the few explicitly FiF parishes in the area. The Very Rev Fr Gary Kriss, sometime Dean of Nashotah House, gave a fine sermon reflecting on the themes of King Charles' last word: "Remember!" I'm also happy to report that seven parishioners (though no clergy) from St Paul's made the trip north for the mass.
